The assault resulted in the partial closure of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
