In a bizarre crossover event that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Disclosed
According to the authorized release, "A strange confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of forbidden practices and fearsome changes reverberate through the shadows." The narrative presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret sect.
The adventure centers on "peculiar trials and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Transformations
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Extra Material
Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an exclusive katana alongside several artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
